Rashford can fill Zlatan's boot - Lingard

Jesse Lingard says Marcus Rashford can handle the pressure of firing Manchester United to success at home and abroad in the final weeks of the season.

The teenager has been handed the task of filling Zlatan Ibrahimovic's boots by manager Jose Mourinho after the Swedish striker suffered a season-ending knee injury.

Rashford's free kick against Celta Vigo on Thursday has given United a slender advantage heading into next week's Europa League semifinal second leg at Old Trafford.
And after important goals against Chelsea and Anderlecht last month, Lingard insists Rashford is proving he can shoulder the responsibility.

"He can handle the pressure," said Lingard. "He's been about long enough now to handle the pressure. He's scored major goals for United and again he's got the important goal. He's still going.

"He's going to fill out even more. His knowledge of the game, his game intelligence will continue to grow and he'll keep learning and go from there."
